Galloper Wind Farm
Galloper Wind farm was a Joint venture between RWE and SSE to construct on offshore wind farm off the cost of East Anglia, creating a renewable supply of up to 340MV of sustainable electricity.
Working directly for Galloper Wind Farm Limited, Three Shires Limited undertook various ecological contracting works at Greater Gabbard Substation.
Three Shires were appointed as Principal Contractor for the duration of works, taking responsibility for delivering a complex series of mitigation measures in an extremely safety critical environment.
Prior to commencing works Three Shires developed a highly detailed Safe System of Work to address the exceptionally challenging environment, which featured UXOs on-site, adjacent working to Sizewell Nuclear Power Station, underground and OHL services and adjacent working to HV substation all within complex consents framework.
